HHH Gymnastics Competes At States

Three members of the Half Hollow Hills Varsity gymnastics team made it to the State competition for the first time earlier this month.

On March 3, senior Nikkie Maddie, sophomore Samantha Fondacaro and seventh grader Jordan Ceccarini competed against the best gymnasts in the state at Shaker High School in Lathan, New York.

Ceccarini finished the highest for the section xi team, placing fifth in the All around (36.925), fifth on floor (9.3), fifth on beam (9.55), and seventh on bars (9.15). Fondacaro placed 16th on bars (8.675). 

The girls are three of the 14 members of the Section XI team.

Melanie Gershman, a freshman, was an alternate for bars but did not make the trip.
