HHH Robotics Team To Compete at Regionals

The HHH high school robotics team is heading back to Hofstra to defend their status.

The Half Hollow Hills Robotics team isn't a rookie anymore.

The combined High School East and West team will compete against the top schools in Nassau and Suffolk Counties this weekend at the 2012 Long Island Regional FIRST Robotics Competition at Hofstra University.

Last year was the . The newbies took home the 2011 FRC All Star Rookie of the Year Award. Now the Thundercolts are back to defend their status as the team to watch out for.

In order to practice and participate in further competitions, the robotics team has started fundraising.

The Thundercolts are collecting old ink cartridges in order to make their way to victory.

The team is looking for donations of inkjet and laserjet toner cartridges to recycle. They also accept new cartridges for printers that people no long have. There is a collection box at the front of the main office at . Anyone with a large number of cartidges can email Theresa DeAngelo at thedeangel@aol.com to arrange for pickup.
