High School West Performs 'Little Shop of Horrors'

Hills West Thespians stage their fifth annual student-run production.

On Wednesday night, the Thespian Society of Hills West performed the musical Little Shop of Horrors in the Dr. James J. Lofrese Auditorium of .

Little Shop of Horrors was this year's choice for their fifth annual student-run production. It was directed by senior and thespian society president Kaila Zogheb. Thespian vice president and junior Corrine Valenti was assistant director.

The students of West not only performed the show, but took on all the tasks associated with staging this musical, including directing, choeographing, music, costumes, set, lighting and sound.

Junior Nick Regueiro played Seymour, the down-and-out nerdy floral assistant who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a craving for fresh blood.

Sophmore Lauren Toscano played Audrey, Seymour's love interest. The voice of the giant, ill-tempered, man-eating plant, Audrey II was played by senior Jared Grossman.
