Hills East Teens Taking a Swing At PGA Championship
Three Thunderbirds golfers are preparing for the Long Island junior tournament happening this weekend.
There's a saying in golf that it's a game in which a player shouts "four," shoots six and writes down five. For three Half Hollow Hills teens though, it's all about the hole in one.
Ben Noskin, Louis Sileno and Steve Chung, of , will compete in in the Long Island Junior Professional Golfers Association Championship this weekend after shooting near-perfect games at the qualifying match at Eisenhower Park on June 30.
Chung shot one over par 73, Noskin shot a 74 and Sileno shot a 77.

Their scores pushed them through to the championship taking place at Baiting Hollow Country Club on July 18.
All three players are on the Hills East golf team, which won all, but two matches last season.

For Noskin, it's all about the love of the game.
"I'm at almost everyday to play. I think other kids want to play to be really good, but I just really love playing golf," he said. "I love the whole environment - everybody going after the same goal and knowing that every single shot counts."
The boys will be going up against some of the greatest young golfers on the island, including those who have been training with professional coaches for years. Despite never having a formal lesson, Noskin is taking the pressure well.
"It's very intimidating, but it's fun to deal with the pressure because when you win, it really builds your status," he said.
The scores of Sunday's match will be available on the PGA website.
