Brief Power Outage at Hills East

Power is briefly interrupted at the High School Friday morning.

Students were in darkness early Friday morning at Half Hollow Hills High School East when workers struck a nearby power grid and knocked the lights out in part of the building.

The Long Island Power Association fixed the problem and full power was restored by second period, Chris Geed, a press representative for the district said. No classes were interrupted during the outage, she added.
