On Thursday night, held the first of four spring concerts featuring the students of the numerous orchestra, band and chorus groups.

Featured on Thursday was the 6th grade orchestra, directed by Donna Freck-Hasel, the 8th grade band, directed by Andrea Stellato, and Candlewood's concert choir, comprised of about 100 6th, 7th and 8th grade students and directed by Michael Sydor.

Upcoming concerts, to be performed in the Candlewood Middle School Auditorium, are as follows:

  • Tuesday May 24 will feature the 6th grade band and 6th grade chorus.
  • Thursday May 26, the 7th and 8th grade orchestra and the jazz band will perform.
  • Wednesday June 1 will conclude with performances by the 7th grade band and 7th and 8th grade mixed chorus.
