Hills East and West celebrate an evening of band, orchestra and chorus at the Tri-M Music Honor Society Induction.
and music students were inducted into the Tri-M Music Honor Society on Oct. 11 at Hills West. The evening’s program included performances by Hills West’s String Ensemble, flute soloist by Hills West's Emily Kim and saxophone duet by East’s Ronald Qiao and Aaron Schwartz. This year’s inspirational keynote speaker was Hills West alumni John Marshall, presently a music teacher in another district, who wowed the audience with his Saxophone talent.
To be considered for membership in Tri-M, students are required to be participants in band, orchestra, or chorus with a music average of 95 and above, overall grade-point average of 85 and above, and participation in a minimum of two additional music events.

Sal Randazzo is Director of Fine Arts. Michelle Martufi, West's Choral Teacher, is the Tri-M Advisor at Hills West and Monica Benstock, 9th Grade Band Teacher at both high schools, is the Tri-M Advisor at Hills East.
