Otsego Bracelet Fundraiser Supports Red Cross

Student Council takes action to help those in need.

The 's Student Council is currently running a fundraiser to benefit the American Red Cross by selling bracelets with the words "Otsego Cares" on them.

At recent Student Council meetings, students have discussed recent hardships around the world, including the earthquake and tsunami that struck Japan and the ongoing efforts to rebuild New Orleans and the Louisana coast. Just last week, a tornado ripped through Missouri, killing 138.

Aware of the efforts of the American Red Cross dealing with those tragedies, Otsego students are selling the blue bracelets for $1.50 each with all proceeds going to the Red Cross.  More than $200 had already been raised as of last week.
