Why Go?: To see the opening of 'Camelot', the musical, winner of 4 Tony Awards, with lyrics and music by Lerner and Lowe. Experience the pageantry of Camelot as the story of the marriage of England's King Arthur to Guinevere is played out in this witty, romantic tragedy with many memorable songs. 'Camelot' plays through Nov 6.

Why Go?: To support Dix Hills teen and You Tube sensation, Jenna Rose Swerdlow, as she performs her hit songs such as "My Jeans", "Don't Give Up" and "O.M.G." as well as previews her new music video.

Why Go?: To participate in the 2nd annual Huntington Awareness Day, including a parade with bands, floats, vintage cars and more starting at East 15th Street, parading down Church Street and ending at the fair on NY Ave across from the LIRR station. The fair will celebrate the community’s unity and diversity with performances, chalk art, crafts, local restaurants selling food, a sidewalk sale, street artists and more.

Where/When: Harborfront Park, 1 Main Street, Northport; Saturday 8:30 a.m. (10k race), Sunday 12-5 p.m. (parade at noon and festival).
Why Go?: To watch or run in the prestigious 34th annual Great Cow Harbor 10K Run, benefiting the Special Olympics as well as the family friendly 2K Fun Walk/Run and/or attend the annual Cow Harbor Day parade and street festival including amusement rides, games, live music, vendors, boating contests and barbecue style food.

Why Go?: Kids in grades 2 through 5 are invited to the Dix Hills Library where they will join members of the Dix Hills Garden Club and learn how to make beautiful bookmarks using dried and pressed flowers.
