A pregnant woman was found in the dirt next to a crashed vehicle on the Northern State Parkway on Thursday morning.
Melville firefighters responded to a multi-vehicle crash that occurred in the westbound lanes, west of Round Swamp Road in Melville, to find the pregnant woman beside the vehicle 6:25 a.m. Officials say one of the cars involved in the crash lost control and crashed off the road into a wooded area.
