Storytime in Half Hollow Hills

Chestnut Hill welcomes surprise story tellers as part of People As Reading Partners.

Legislators, police officers and school administrators surprised elementary school students as guest story tellers during Community Reader Day in Half Hollow Hills.

Guest speakers included members of the Board of Education, Superintendent Kelly Fallon and district administrators, Suffolk County Legislators Steve Stern and Lou D'Amaro and members of the Suffolk County Police Department.

The guests surprised students by visiting and reading books to their classes on Community Reader Day, part of the People as Reading Partners (PARP) program. The program encourages children and families to read together.
