Sustainable Garden Comes to Life at High School West

The Independent Living Essentials class at have designed and constructed a sustainable flower and vegetable garden.

Students germinated seeds indoors, then transplanted the plants into the garden when the warm weather arrived.

A special thanks goes to Dynomite Fuel and Matt's Landscaping of Dix Hills for providing some of the materials.

The garden is located at the side of the school building, opposite the natatorium. An added special attraction is every student's signature on the sign!
