Whiz Kid: Gurpreet Singh

Hills East senior takes first prize at engineering fair.

This week's Whiz Kid honor goes to High School East senior Gurpreet Singh.

Gurpreet won first place in the energy & transportation category in the New York State Science & Engineering Fair (NYSSEF) event held in early April.

Gurpreet also participated in the International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Los Angeles from May 8-13.

The Intel Foundation awarded a $1,000 grant to High School East.
