Woman, 18, Dies From Injuries Caused by Sweet Hollow Road Crash
The Huntington Station woman passed away Thursday, police said.

An 18-year-old Huntington Station woman died Thursday from her injuries caused by a Melville crash last month, police have confirmed.
On Nov. 22, Alanna McCarthy was driving a 2015 Toyota RAV4 northbound on Sweet Hollow Road, south of Chichester Road in Melville, when the vehicle struck a guardrail and overturned at 1:20 a.m., police said.

Three other people were inside the SUV during the time of the crash, police said.
The Melville Fire Department ambulance transported McCarthy to Nassau County Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition.

The three other passengers received minor injuries. They were taken to Huntington Hospital in another Melville Fire Department ambulance and were treated and released.
