• Halfmoon man arrested on child porn charges (wnyt.com) — State Police report that a Halfmoon resident was recently arrested following a cyber tip about alleged child sexual exploitation images, with multiple agencies involved in the investigation. The man was arraigned in Halfmoon Town Court and is being held in Saratoga County, underscoring an ongoing local case residents may see moving through the courts. 
• Trader Joe's settlement deadline is approaching. Here's who can file a claim (ithacajournal.com) — If you shopped at the Halfmoon Trader Joe’s with a card in mid-2019, you may be eligible for roughly $100 from a nationwide receipt-printing settlement, but you must file by June 9. The case claims some stores printed too many card digits, and eligible shoppers can submit claims online or by mail before final approval later this summer.
