• Man Drove Intoxicated With Child, 13, In Vehicle In Hampton Bays: Police (patch.com) — Police say a driver was stopped Sunday night on Old Riverhead Road East in Hampton Bays and found intoxicated with a 13-year-old passenger in the vehicle. The man faces a felony DWI charge under Leandra’s Law and a misdemeanor child endangerment charge, and was held for arraignment. Residents may notice increased enforcement by Southampton’s community response unit in the area.
