• Reports: Fire at Southampton House Where 1,000 Pounds of Marijuana Were Discovered by Police Last Month (longisland.com) — Hampton Bays firefighters joined several neighboring departments Tuesday night to battle a house fire on West Neck Road in Southampton, at a home where police recently seized about 1,000 pounds of packaged marijuana. No one was hurt, but the incident follows a September home-invasion burglary there that first exposed the large-scale marijuana operation to investigators.
