New Harlem Olive Garden to Bring 170 Jobs, Unlimited Breadsticks

A 10,000-square-foot Olive Garden opened Tuesday in Harlem on the corner of West 125th Street and Lenox Avenue.

HARLEM, NY — A gigantic, 10,000-square-foot Olive Garden restaurant opened its doors Tuesday in Harlem. And in addition to the chain's signature unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks the new restaurant will be bringing more than 100 food service jobs to the neighborhood.

The restaurant, which will seat around 300 diners, is expected to hire 170 workers, according to a press release sent to Patch.

The new Olive Garden is the latest brand-name tenant to move into the six-story retail complex located at 100 W. 125th St, on the corner of Lenox Avenue. Other tenants in the complex include Whole Foods, Raymour & Flanigan, TD Bank and Burlington Coat Factory, YIMBY reported in 2015.

The restaurant will feature an update on the traditional Olive Garden design, with new artwork, fabrics, lighting, seating, countertops and flooring, according to a press release. The new decor will be complete with a redesigned "Olive Garden Italian Kitchen" logo.

To announce its opening, the Harlem Olive Garden held a ribbon cutting ceremony Monday with The Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce.
