12-Year-Old Boy Points Gun At Classmate's Head For Chicken McNugget

A hungry 12-year-old boy threatened to shoot one of his classmates at an East Harlem McDonald's because she didn't give him a McNugget.

EAST HARLEM, NY — Chicken McNuggets are tasty, but are they worth risking your life for?

For one East Harlem 12-year-old girl, the answer to that question was yes. While dining at a McDonald's on Third Avenue and East 103rd Street, the girl refused to share one of her flaky McNuggets with a male classmate.

No big deal right? Wrong.

After the rejection, the 12-year-old boy — apparently consumed by a fit of rage over a 50 cent chicken piece — pulled out a gun and pointed it at the girl's head, police told Patch. But the show of force didn't work.

The brazen 12-year-old girl smacked the gun away from her head and proceeded to exit the McDonalds and walk toward the 6 train station at East 103rd Street, police told Patch. The boy, still in the pursuit of a McNugget, made a last-ditch attempt to intimidate the girl by following her onto the train and flashing the gun again, police said.

The next day, the girl reported the incident to school officials, and her classmate was arrested, police said. The boy has been charged as a juvenile, police told Patch.

Further information about charges and the names of the accused would-be nugget thief were not disclosed due to the boy's age, police told Patch.
