Jazz By The Water(tm) Music Concert on Governor's Island (Arts & Jazzfest NYC-tm)

Join us for another great Jazz By The Water™ concert series on Governor’s Island and our 26th Anniversary Celebration for Visual Arts & Jazzfest/Arts and Jazzfest NYC™ from 12 noon until 6 pm. Pre-concert art and music activities will start at 12 noon; music concert from 1:30 until 5:30 pm. Due to the rainout last year, the performers for this year will once again include the legendary Nat Adderley, Jr. Quintet; Rob Fulton Quartet; Cindy Lou Robinson & Her Blues Band; and Ronnie Burrage Quintet along with a display of art dedicated to jazz by visual artists: Sonia Barnett, Diane Ifill, Sadikisah Collier, ValStyle, Douglas Webster, Jody RIchardson, Elton Leonard, Gwen Black, Alethia Brown, and others.

This is a free community event, but ferry tickets are required. Go to www.govisland to reserve tickets. And due to unforeseen foundation cuts, this year we are asking everyone for their support.
