This FRIDAY June 19, JUNETEENTH 2026, please arrive near the VISITOR CENTER of the National Park Service (NPS) AFRICAN BURIAL GROUND MONUMENT VISITOR CENTER BUILDING at 290 Broadway, New York 10007 to see the VISUAL ARTWORK PAINTINGS of a renown Fine Artist-Art Curator which contain the letters "BLM."
The PAINTINGS-- one a 4 feet by 12 feet canvas banner depicting the iconic author TONI MORRISON and a smaller painting entitled "I AM A MAN," both contain in them, (in small letters) "BLM" (BLACK LIVES MATTER).
These BLM-inspired PAINTINGS can this JUNETEENTH Holiday, be VIEWED CURBSIDE ONLY because they were SUMMARILY REJECTED AND BANNED from a previous Art Exhibition that had been co-organized in recognition of the Afro-Dutch 400th Pinkster Holiday Anniversary (at this very NPS AFRICAN BURIAL GROUND VISITOR CENTER, a FEDERAL BUILDING, a few weeks earlier). The "reason" expressed by the NPS for the REJECTION and BANNING of the PAINTINGS is that "BLM" is VISUALLY EXPRESSED in the paintings therefore "UNACCEPTABLE." Even when the Artist offered to "PAINT OVER" the letters "BLM," the NPS cpntinuef to deeme the PAINTINGS "CONTROVERSIAL."
People~pedestrians, tourists, visitors ~who previously viewed the PAINTINGS exhibited curbside (outside) the day of the BAN and elsewhere saw no "CONTROVERSIAL" (stet) with the PAINTINGS. NPS AFRICAN BURIAL GROUND VISITOR CENTER'S REJECTION and BANNING of these PAINTINGS is seen by many as an MASSIVE DISRESPECT and AFFRONT TO BLACK LIVES MATTER (BLM) and of THE ANCESTORS ENTOMBED BENEATH THE VERY GROUND UNDER WHICH THE ABG STANDS and also as a GRAVE ASSAULT, VIOLATION and INFRINGMENT of the FIRST AMENDMENT RIGHTS of the U.S. CONSTITUTION: ..."the RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH which Amendment also INCLUDES and GIVES PROTECTION OF THE RIGHT TO EXPRESS OPINIONS, IDEAS, BELIEFS WITHOUT FEAR OF GOVERNMENT RETALIATION OR CENSORSHIP."
"The time is always right to do what is right." Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (1965); therefore, we invite you to please feel free to take a printed handout available that day which will contain full details and "to-do's," because "...freedom take courage" to correct injustices in any matter. "FREEDOM IS A CONSTANT STRUGGLE," as renown political philosopher, activist, abolishionist, Professor Angela Davis Phd, would undoubtedly apply to this matter.
