A trumpeter, flugelhornist, composer, arranger, and author of rare versatility, Eddie Allen is one of New York City's most in-demand brass voices. Rooted in Milwaukee and shaped by the vibrant New York scene he joined in the early 1980s, he has performed with Art Blakey, Dizzy Gillespie, Randy Weston, Henry Threadgill, Jon Faddis, and Steve Turre, brought his trumpet to Broadway productions including Ain't Misbehavin' and Jelly's Last Jam, and served as musical director of Lester Bowie's legendary Brass Fantasy.
