Daylight Shooting In South Harlem Leaves Man Dead

A 31-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday morning in South Harlem and the assailant remains at large, police said.

HARLEM, NY — A 31-year-old man was fatally shot Wednesday morning in South Harlem and the assailant remains at large, police said.

Around 9:14 a.m. Wednesday, police received a 911 call reporting a shooting near the intersection of West 112th Street and Malcolm X Boulevard.

At the scene, police found the victim, who had a gunshot wound to the head. He was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim's name is being withheld pending family notification, police said.

Police have made no arrests or named any suspects.
