Dead Woman With Head Trauma Found At Harlem Apartment, Police Say

The investigation is underway, and no arrests have been made yet, police said.

HARLEM, NY — Police are investigating the death of a woman found with head trauma in a Harlem apartment on Friday afternoon, New York City Police Department officials said.

According to the NYPD, officers responded to a 911 call at 1:38 p.m. on Feb. 20 at 212 West 124 St. near Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard.

Police officials said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and was observed with trauma to the head.

The New York City Police Department said there have been no arrests in connection with the incident yet, but the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman's death is underway.

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the official cause of death.

The woman's identity is being kept private until the family can be notified, police said.
