Disturbed East Harlem Man Dies After Cops Handcuff Him: Report
Relatives called 911 on the disturbed man early Sunday, the New York Post reported. Officers found him being restrained by relatives.

EAST HARLEM, NY — An emotionally disturbed man reportedly died while handcuffed in the custody of police and emergency workers. The family of the 39-year-old man called 911 and police arrived just before 2 a.m. Sunday at the man's home in East Harlem, the New York Post reported. The home is located near the intersection of East 116th Street and 2nd Avenue.
Police found the man being restrained by relatives in the apartment, the Post reported. He was placed in handcuffs, but continued to be uncooperative in the hallway, police said.
He abruptly passed out, the report said. Emergency responders tried to revive him but he died at a local hospital, the Post said.
