Off-Duty Cop Assaulted in Harlem While Walking Dog
The officer was approached by four men who beat him and stole his wallet.

HARLEM, NY — An off-duty police officer was assaulted and robbed of his wallet Sunday night in Harlem on West 149 Street.

The officer, who police did not identify, was walking his dog at 9:30 p.m. when four men approached him, police told Patch. One of the men then put the officer in a headlock while his crew punched the officer in the head and stole his wallet, police said. The attackers then fled the scene on foot.
The officer was taken to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital for treatment.
