Harlem Man Accused of Stabbing Brother Charged With Attempted Murder
Marc Brockington, 48, is accused of stabbing his brother in the abdomen at their apartment in the Lincoln Houses.
HARLEM, NY — A man who stabbed his brother in their shared apartment at Harlem's Lincoln Houses wis facing attempted murder charges.
Marc Brockington, 48, was charged with second-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted assault and second-degree assault when he was arraigned Thursday, according to a criminal complaint from the Manhattan District Attorney's office.
Brockington is accused of stabbing his brother, 50-year-old Terrance Brockington, in the abdomen, according to the criminal complaint. The stabbing occurred around 2:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Brockington's Madison Avenue apartment in the Lincoln Houses, a public housing development.

An officer responding to the stabbing observed that Terrance Brockington was suffering a stab wound to the abdomen and bleeding lacerations on his neck. The officer also stated that Brockington told him that he stabbed his brother, according to the criminal complaint.
At the time Brockington said the stabbing was accidental, but Thursday morning his lawyer claimed that Brockington stabbed his brother in self defense during an argument, the Daily News reported.

Terrance Brockington was taken to Harlem Hospital for surgery in serious condition, according to the criminal complaint, but he is expected to survive.
