Harlem Man Dies From Head Injury After Being Jumped: Police

A 35-year-old Harlem man died several days after he suffered a head injury while being "jumped," according to police.

HARLEM, NY — A Harlem man died last week, several days after he suffered a head injury while being "jumped," police said Thursday.

Quintin Davis, 35, said the assault took place Oct. 2 at an unspecified location. His uncle called police three days later to report the crime, saying his nephew was suffering from headaches, according to police.

The following day, Davis's uncle called 911 and said his nephew had become unconscious and unresponsive. He was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he died two days later on Oct. 8, police said.

The medical examiner deemed Davis's death a homicide. No suspects have been named and an investigation is ongoing, police said.
