'Luke Cage' Could Start Filming Season 2 in Harlem Soon
A partially-reconstructed set for Netflix's "Luke Cage" was spotted Thursday on Lenox Avenue.
HARLEM, NY — A reconstructed set for Netflix's Harlem superhero drama "Luke Cage" has been spotted on Lenox Avenue, sparking rumors that the show may return to the neighborhood to film its second season.
The set for Pop's Barbershop was noticed Thursday by the Harlem Bespoke blog occupying its former spot on the corner of Lenox Avenue and West 119th Street. The set is located in a vacant storefront of a brownstone on the block.
Pop's Barbershop was a recurring location in the first season of "Luke Cage," and served as the workplace of the titular hero before he decided to use his powers to fight crime. The set may be reconstructed to film the show's second season or to film Netflix's "The Defenders" an ensemble superhero show which features Luke Cage, Harlem Bespoke reported.
