Man Exposes Himself, Grabs Woman In Harlem, Police Say

Police are trying to identify the suspect who accosted a woman on West 116th street earlier this month.

HARLEM, NY — The NYPD are searching for a man who exposed himself and then tried to grab a woman earlier this month in Harlem, police told Patch.

On Monday, May 1, a 44-year-old woman was walking on West 116th Street when the suspect approached her, police said. The man exposed his genitals to the woman and then attempted to grab her by the shoulder and pull her toward him, police told Patch.

The suspect fled the scene, heading east on West 116th Street, police said. Officials did not say where on West 116th Street the incident occurred.

The man (pictured above) is described as standing 5-foot-8 and weighing around 150 pounds, police said. The man had blue eyes, and wavy brown hair, police said. He was wearing dark pants, sneakers and a white t-shirt at the time of the attack.
