Two people have been charged with murder for allegedly hitting a 62-year-old man in the head during a robbery in East Harlem, killing him.

HARLEM, NY — Two East Harlem residents have been charged with murder in the death of a 62-year-old man during a robbery in the neighborhood last month, police said.

According to police, the robbery took place on Oct. 22 at the corner of East 122nd Street and Third Avenue. The victim, George Pagan, an Upper West Side resident, was hit in the head and taken to Harlem Hospital, where he died one week later.

Last Thursday, the Medical Examiner determined that Pagan's head trauma caused his death and ruled it a homicide.
