Police are searching for two men who forced their way into a Harlem apartment and brandished a gun in front of a mother and her children.

HARLEM, NY — Police are searching for two men suspected in a Harlem home invasion where a man was pistol whipped during a physical struggle, police said.

The two men entered an apartment building near Seventh Avenue and West 111 Street on Monday and waited outside one of the building's apartment units, police said. When a 29-year-old woman opened the door to the apartment the two men pushed inside and brandished a firearm in front of the woman, her 9-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter, police told Patch.

The woman's screams woke up a 33-year-old man who was in one of the apartment's other rooms, police said. The man and the suspects then got into a physical struggle, which resulted in the man being pistol whipped, police told Patch.
