Man Robs Teen In Harlem Subway Station, Police Say
The thief snatched a 15-year-old's purse in the West 111 Street and Lexington Avenue subway and quickly ran away, police said.
HARLEM, NY — The NYPD is searching for a man who robbed a 15-year-old girl while she waited for a train on a Harlem subway platform, police told Patch.
The robbery occurred Saturday, July 15, around 4:40 p.m., police said. The teen girl was standing on the southbound platform of the West 111 Street and Lexington Avenue subway station with her family when she was approached by an unidentified man.
The man snatched the 15-year-old's purse from her should and quickly bolted out of the station, police said. The girl was injured during the robbery but refused medical attention at the scene, police said.

The suspect (pictured above) is around 25 years old, has a dark complexion and stands around 6 feet tall, police told Patch. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black shirt with a lime green logo on the front, blue jeans and white sneakers, police said.
