Men Found Dead In Harlem Hair Salon, NYCHA Tower

Two men were found dead within hours of each other Saturday inside a Harlem hair salon and an East Harlem NYCHA building.

Around 4:27 p.m. Saturday, police responded to an assault call at 2130 Madison Ave., part of the Lincoln Houses complex. In the building's stairwell, they found an unconscious man who had been stabbed multiple times.

HARLEM, NY — Two men were found dead within hours of each other on Saturday, the first inside a Harlem hair salon and the second at an East Harlem NYCHA complex, police said.

Around 9:21 a.m. Saturday, police responded to a 911 call about a burglary at Harlem Natural Hair, on St. Nicholas Avenue near 148th Street, where they found an unconscious man with trauma to the head and neck inside.

The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police believe the man may have been a burglar who died following a fall, the New York Post reported.

Later, around 4:27 p.m. Saturday, police responded to an assault call at 2130 Madison Ave., part of the Lincoln Houses complex. In the building's stairwell, they found an unconscious man who had been stabbed multiple times.

The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital. No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing, police said.
