Police Find Bazooka, Guns, Drugs During East Harlem Apartment Raid

The two men living in the apartment were arrested on weapons and drug charges.

EAST HARLEM, NY — Two men are facing charges after police discovered an arsenal containing, among other things, a bazooka shell in their East Harlem apartment, police told Patch.

Paul Durstenberg, 53, and William Vasquez, 55, have been charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of weapons and drugs, police said. They were arrested Wednesday after police raided their apartment of the 400 block of East 120th Street, police told Patch.

After obtaining a search warrant, police entered the apartment around 3:45 p.m. and discovered multiple weapons, drugs and lots of cash, police said.

  • .45 caliber revolver (loaded)
  • .44 caliber revolver (loaded)
  • .45 caliber pistol (loaded)
  • .25 caliber pistol (unloaded)
  • Single shot shotgun (unloaded)
  • .30 caliber rifle (unloaded)
  • .22 caliber rifle (unloaded)
  • (4) imitation pistols
  • Assorted knives/ammunition
  • A bullet resistant vest
  • A bazooka container
  • Glassines of heroin
  • Glassines of crack
  • Small amount of marijuana
  • Assorted pills
  • Currency

Both Durstenburg and Vasquez are currently being held on $50,000 bail and will appear in court on April 3, according to court records.
