Police Release Photos Of Man Wanted For Fatal Uptown Stabbing

Police are asking the public to help identify and located the person of interest.

HARLEM, NY — Police have release photos of a man wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing that occurred in Harlem near the southern end of Washington Heights last week, police told Patch.

The body of Darnell Williams, 30, was found in front of a building on West 142 Street and Frederick Douglas Boulevard around 7:45 p.m. Thursday night, police said. Williams was unconscious, unresponsive and suffering from a stab wound to the left side of his torso, police told Patch.

EMS responders transported Williams to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The public is being asked to help identify a man wanted for questioning regarding the stabbing, police told Patch. The man (pictured above) stands approximately 5-foot-8 and is in his 40s, police said. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket with fur trimmed hood, black pants, white sneakers, glasses and a multi-colored winter hat, police told Patch.

The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and entering TIP577. All tips are confidential.
