Police Seek Suspects In Harlem Killing, Robbery

Police are seeking men suspected in two separate crimes in Harlem this month: the killing of a man, and the robbery and assault of a woman.

HARLEM, NY — Police asked for the public's help identifying two men suspected in two separate crimes in Harlem this month: the fatal assault of a man on 110th Street and the robbery and assault of a woman near 141st Street.

The first incident took place Sept. 2, around 11:24 p.m. at 141 West 110 St., where a 28-year-old man was punched in the face by an unidentified man who fled, police said.

Police found the man, identified as Nicholas Brittain, around 12:40 a.m. He was brought to St. Luke's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead Friday, Sept. 11. The cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner.

Police are looking for a man seen on video around 6:50 p.m. that same day, inside the building where the assault took place.

The other incident occurred around 2 a.m. Thursday, when an unidentified man approached a 27-year-old woman from behind near the corner of 141st Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue. He forcibly touched the woman in the groin and then took unspecified possessions from her before fleeing on foot, according to police.

The man tried to make purchases on the woman's debit card at Golden Deli, on the corner of 137th Street and Broadway, police said. The woman declined medical attention.
