Shooter Who Killed Man On Harlem Street Corner Arrested, Police Say

The man is facing murder charges for shooting Andrew Walcott, 25, on the corner of West 133rd and Amsterdam in July.

HARLEM, NY — A man is facing murder charges for a July double shooting on a Harlem street corner, police told Patch.

Donald Lee, 26, was charged Friday with murder, attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon, police said. Lee is being accused of shooting two men, one fatally, on the corner of Amsterdam Avenue and West 133rd Street on July 7, police told Patch.

The shooting occurred outside 1477 Amsterdam Avenue at 5:30 a.m., police said. One of the victims, 25-year-old Andrew Walcott, was shot in the head and pronounced dead at St. Luke's Hospital, police told Patch. The other victim, an unidentified 28-year-old man, suffered graze wounds to his face and refused medical attention, police told Patch.
