Suspect Sought In Sexual Assault At Harlem Laundromat: Police
Police asked the public for help identifying a man accused of assaulting an employee at a Harlem laundromat last month.

HARLEM, NY — Police appealed to the public this week for help identifying a man accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside a Harlem laundromat last month.
The assault occurred on Sept. 18 around 10:20 p.m. inside the Peaches N' Klean laundromat at 2815 8th Avenue, police said, when a man pretending to be a customer began speaking to a 23-year-old laundromat employee.
The man then walked to the other side of the counter, grabbed the woman by the neck, pushed her against a wall and grabbed her breast, according to police.

The man stopped the assault and left the laundromat when another employee came in from the bathroom, police said. He fled north along 8th Avenue.
Police described the suspect as a Black male, about 45 years old, between 6 foot 2 and 3 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black hoodie, black pants and white sneakers, and was carrying a blue duffel bag.
