Teen Fatally Shot In East Harlem, Police Say
A 17-year-old died after being shot in the chest Wednesday night in East Harlem.

EAST HARLEM, NY — The NYPD is investigating the death of a teenager who was fatally shot in East Harlem, police told Patch.
Officers arrived at 1502 Park Avenue, between Tito Puente Way and East 111th street, shortly after 10 p.m. and discovered 17-year-old Lewis Encarnacion suffering a gunshot wound to the chest, police said. Encarnacion was transported to St. Luke's Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police told Patch.
The NYPD has not made any arrests or named a suspect, but the investigation is ongoing, police told Patch.

Encarnacion was a resident of East Harlem. He lived in an apartment on East 108th Street near Fifth Avenue, police said.
