HARLEM, NY — A toddler was found dead Friday in a tractor trailer parked in the Sugar Hill section of Harlem, police told Patch.
Eighteen-month-old Michaela Henry, of Hartford Conn., was found unconscious and unresponsive around 8:45 p.m. in the cab of a tractor trailer parked near the corner of West 150 Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue, police said. The toddler, who showed no signs of trauma, was rushed to Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.
Henry's mother noticed the toddler was not breathing and called the police, an NYPD spokeswoman told Patch. Henry, her mother mother and her 10-year-old brother were in the sleeping cab of the tractor trailer, the spokeswoman said. The family drove the tractor trailer into Harlem to make a delivery to a nearby dollar store, the NYPD spokeswoman said.
