Woman Shot In Harlem After Breaking Up Fight, Police Say
The shooting occurred outside of a funeral home.

HARLEM, NY — The NYPD are trying to identify a woman who's wanted for a shooting that occurred outside of a Harlem funeral home, police said.
The shooting occurred Friday, Dec. 22, outside of the Unity Funeral Chapel on Eighth Avenue between Frederick Douglass Boulevard and Seventh Avenue, police said. A 34-year-old woman attempted to break up a fight between two people outside the funeral home when one of the people pulled a gun and shot her in the right thigh, police said.
The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital and the suspect fled the scene, police said.

Police released photos of the suspect (seen above) this week. The accused shooter is described as a woman standing about 5-foot-6 and weighing around 200 pounds. The woman has a dark complexion, short dark hair and was last seen wearing a black sweat shirt with white strings, black pants and white and black sneakers, police said.
