• Urgent Rescue Pulls 20 Animals From New York Home as Man Faces a Dozen Cruelty Charges (greatergood.com) — An alleged animal cruelty case in Harpersfield led state police and the Susquehanna SPCA to remove about a dozen animals from a home on Odell Lake Road, with the animals now in safe care. A 64-year-old Harpersfield man faces 12 misdemeanor counts and is scheduled to appear in Harpersfield Town Court on January 26, highlighting how local authorities handle animal welfare complaints.
