HARRISON, NY — A raid of a West Harrison home helped make significant inroads into a growing number of ghost guns on the streets, according to police.

Harrison police arrested two men and seized two firearms, following a lengthy investigation into ghost guns and other illegal firearms.

The police officers executed a search warrant Friday at the home with the assistance of the Westchester County Police, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force and USPS Postal Inspectors.

Two illegal firearms, two ballistic vests and a high-capacity magazine were seized as a result of the raid. One of the firearms lacked a serial number, making it a so-called ghost gun.

“I would like to commend our officers and our partners for their successful investigation," Harrison Police Chief John Vasta said in a statement released Friday night. "Our community is safer with these weapons off the streets."
