Cops Chase Down Van In I-95 Gunshot Victim Case, Make Arrest
The driver was found in the Bronx and is due in Harrison town court.

HARRISON, NY – Police have made an arrest in the mysterious case of the gunshot victim found on I-95 by officers who were responding to a report of a collision. Jamil Fields of the Bronx, 55, is charged with attempted Murder in the 2nd Degree, a Class A Felony, and Assault in the 1st Degree, a Class B Felony.
At about 5:49 p.m. July 18, State Police responded to a reported motor vehicle collision on Interstate 95, northbound between Exit 18B and 19. Troopers arrived and located 24-year-old Mouhamed Cisse, who appeared to have suffered serious injuries, including gunshot wounds. Cisse is also a Bronx resident. During the course of the investigation New York State Police investigators developed Fields as a suspect. While conducting follow up interviews in the Bronx, officers saw Fields operating a U-Haul van on Nereid Avenue. The investigators followed the van and found it and Fields on Richardson Avenue where he was taken into custody.

Fields was arraigned at the Harrison Police Station before Town Justice Angiolillo and was remanded to the Westchester County jail without bail.
He is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Harrison Justice Court on Tuesday. This incident remains under investigation. The State Police were assisted by officers from the New York City Police Department from the 47th Precinct.
