Chase Bank Robbed in Hastings, Thief Escapes
Hastings, Dobbs Ferry, Westchester County and Metro North Police are still searching for the man who robbed a Chase Bank branch in Hastings this morning.
A branch on Warburton Avenue in Hastings was robbed just before 9 a.m. on Friday, Hastings Police Chief David Bloomer confirmed.
Police said a large sum of money was forcibly taken, but would not divulge the dollar amount at this time.
"At around 9 this morning, somebody came in and said, 'Somebody's robbing the bank,'" said Dawn Gonzales, who works at the Manor Market deli across the street. "I saw the guy come out of the bank wearing camouflage and had a hood on. He made a right into the parking lot and disappeared. The cops just missed him."
