Harrison Council for the Arts Presents Photographs by David F. Donnelly January 8 to February 3, 2012

The Harrison Council for the Arts presents PLACE + Images of built and natural environments  by David F. Donnelly at the Harrison Public Library, 2 Bruce Avenue January 8 to February 3 with an opening reception January 14 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. 

David Donnelly has explored the field of visual communications in a variety of capacities throughout his career.  His recent work in still photography examines built and natural environments and the concept of place.  He has a broad background in video, and his work has appeared on PBS stations across the country. Mr. Donnelly has also written on popular press images of the future and other media-related topics and has contributed to eight books and numerous scholarly and popular press publications.  He has worked in higher education for over two decades, as a both a Professor of Communications and Dean. 

Mr. Donnelly holds an MA and a PhD in Communications from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a B.A. in Radio-TV-Film from the University of Maryland.

The exhibit may be viewed Monday and Wednesday 9:30-9:00 p.m., Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 9:30-5:30 p.m. and Sunday 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.  For information call 914/835-0324 (www.harrisonpl.org).
