Greenwich Cops Look at Harrison Car in Putnam Ave Incident
Police say a man kept driving past a 15-year-old and asking for her name and phone number.

Greenwich Police are continuing their investigation of an incident involving a man who stopped a teenager four times while she walked along East Putnam Avenue on Saturday.
Greenwich Police said the 15-year-old foreign exchange student reported that it was about 9:30 a.m. Oct. 10 when an “older white male who was balding … stopped the juvenile at four different locations along East Putnam Avenue in Riverside to Valley Road in Cos Cob.”
The man asked for the girl’s name and telephone number each time he stopped her, according to police. The girl refused each time and the man “left the area without incident,” police said. While the teen didn’t feel “overly threatened by the encounter” she “felt it very strange and reported it to her guardian” who called police.
