Harrison Elementary Students Celebrate the 100th Day of School

Students excited to show what they have learned in the first 100 Days of School

Harrison Central School District’s first graders and kindergartners celebrated recently their 100th Day of school in the “grades”. The young students at Harrison Avenue, Parsons Memorial, S.J. Preston, and Purchase Elementary Schools enjoyed the day integrating counting, measuring, writing, reading, and building skills in their quest to find activities that incorporated 100 in the lesson.

Students at Preston took the activity one step further by dressing the part. Many students came dressed as centenarians – some with curlers and canes to visually illustrate the theme. Even in higher level grades, students fused multiplication and division with the help of edible visual aids.
