Harrison EMS to Shut Down Sunday

Service will be suspended amid allegations of mismanagement and politics, according to The Journal News.

The Harrison EMS is suspending service, according to The Journal News.

Robert Frankel, a member of the EMS Board of Directors, told reporter Rich Liebson that after 11 p.m. Sunday, the ambulance corps won't be able to respond to emergency calls because it can't meet payroll and has no money to spend on equipment.

Town officials told The Journal News that they were withholding their partial funding because they believed the nonprofit had been mismanaged. They said they were examining options to make sure the town's residents would be protected.
