“Big Al” Mazzullo, as he is fondly referred to, has been a fixture at Harrison sporting events for many decades. For over 25 years, he has worked the chains at HHS football games, cheered the boys and girls at basketball games, and roamed the outfield fence during baseball games.
Al Mazzullo, a 1976 graduate of Harrison High School, and his four siblings – Charlie, Joey, Ike, and Ellen- were born and raised in Harrison and have contributed to the community in many ways. Big Al worked for the Town of Harrison for 32 years and his brother Charlie worked for the Harrison Central School District for over 30 years. Big Al’s other two brothers are members of the renowned Harrison Brassmen Band.

Sadly, cancer has taken the lives of Charlie, Ellen, and Big Al’s wife Lisa. In honor of Big Al and the Mazzullo family, all funds raised at the Harrison Holiday Basketball Classic will be donated in the memory of the Mazzullo family. The HHS Varsity Basketball team thanks you for your donations and thanks the Mazzullo family for their constant and passionate support of Harrison’s Youth.
